Kings Hwy. Christian Church holding Fall Festival

Kings Highway Christian Church is holding its Fall Festival with its Trunk or Treat from 4-6:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 30 at the church's Family Life Center and parking lot, located at 806 Kings Highway. There will be a hayride, inflatable rides, games, prizes, hamburgers, hot dogs, face painting, a haunted house and a cake walk. For more information call the church at 222-3864.

BPCC hosting job fair on Oct. 28

Bossier Parish Community College will host its annual job fair from 12 - 3 p.m. on Friday, October 28 at its campus, located at 6220 E. Texas St. in Bossier City. The event will be in the Student Services Building.

Nov. 8 set for North S'port Business Assoc. Luncheon

The North Shreveport Business Association will host its membership luncheon at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8 at the Northwest Louisiana Technical College - Shreveport Campus, located at 2010 North Market Street. Guest speakers will be Bossier/Webster District Attorney Schuyler Marvin and Caddo Parish District Attorney Charles Scott. Lunch is $12 for members and $15 for non-members. Reservations are required. LSUS hosting Health and Wellness

LSU Shreveport Recreational Sports will host a Health and Wellness Fair on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the University Center Lobby.

This year's fair will include free screenings and assessments, interactive displays regarding various health topics, free samples and door prize drawings for LSUS students. The Fair annually hosts the Kinesiology and Health Sciences students, local vendors and non-profit organization to distribute information related to students' physical, mental, emotional, environmental and spiritual well-being.

Adults-only fundraiser planned for Chimp Haven

On Friday, October 21, Chimp Haven will host its Freaks Come Out at Night party. This adult-themed Halloween fundraising event will include a silent auction, fire-dancing, face painting, costume contests, photo opportunities, live music by WindStorm, and unique food creations by Mike Lewis Catering.

Calling all "ghouls" and boys of all ages! Sci-Port's Tricks & Treats Night is a family celebration of spooky science fun. Activities will include Vampire Buffet, Carnival Corner, LIVE Creatures of the Night (courtesy of Critter Company) and a homemade Costume Contest!
