SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) – Shreveport detectives are looking into more than a half-dozen bar burglaries since the first of July.

Police have responded to seven different nightclub burglaries since July 1. Nightclubs victimized are located in the 1900 block of North Market Street, the 3100 block of North Market Street, the 1300 block of Centenary Boulevard, the 1300 block of Shreveport-Barksdale Highway, the 600 block of East Kings Highway, and the 1000 block of Marshall Street.

Shreveport Public Assembly and Recreation (SPAR) is holding an organizational meeting for all Youth Football League coaches at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20  at the SPAR Athletics Office, located at 7401 Jewella Ave. All head coaches who want to enter a team must attend the meeting.

The International Association of Administrative Professionals, Pelican Chapter of Shreveport, will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 21 at the Petroleum Club, 416 Travis St., 15 floor. Bob Alexander from Bossier Parish Community College will be there speaking on "Becoming a More Competent Communicator". Reservation deadline is noon on Tuesday, July 19.
