Title (Max 100 Characters)
Shreveport Public Assembly & Recreation (SPAR) announces Piano Classes for Senior Citizens, starting January 22 & 23.
SPAR will hold two classes every quarter. The Basic Piano class will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. each Tuesday at Airport Park Community Center, 6500 Kennedy Drive. The class also will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Bill Cockrell Community Center, 4109 Pines Road.
The classes are free (only one class per quarter) for senior citizens who are interested in learning to play the piano. In addition to being fun and entertaining, scientists have found that the piano strengthens and helps keep the brain alert and active.
To sign up for the class or for additional information, call either Airport Park Community Center at 673-7803, Bill Cockrell Community Center at 629-4185, or Camille Webb, SPAR Senior Coordinator at 673-7845.
Space is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.
