Police looking for help in string of nightclub burglaries

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) – Shreveport detectives are looking into more than a half-dozen bar burglaries since the first of July.

Police have responded to seven different nightclub burglaries since July 1. Nightclubs victimized are located in the 1900 block of North Market Street, the 3100 block of North Market Street, the 1300 block of Centenary Boulevard, the 1300 block of Shreveport-Barksdale Highway, the 600 block of East Kings Highway, and the 1000 block of Marshall Street.

Investigators think the same suspects are responsible for all the break-ins because of how the burglaries occurred.

Police say the suspects usually force their way into the nightclub through the front door. They think the thieves are using an older model Dodge or Plymouth minivan in their crimes.

Anyone with any information regarding these crimes is urged to call Shreveport Police Detective Robert Gordon at 318-673-6985 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
