Free Back to School haircuts being offered | Community Spirit

Several businesses and organizations will provide free haircuts to kids to help them get ready to go back to school.

On Monday, August 6, Word of Faith Church International and Bos-Man's Barber College/World will host a Back to School Celebration. Barber's and Stylists will be at Riverview Hall, 600 Clyde Fant Parkway, from 2-7 p.m. for kids between the ages of 4-17. There will be free haircuts for boys and hairstyles for girls, a free concert and prize give-a-ways.

On Sunday, August 12, there will be a Back to School Giveaway beginning at 3 p.m. at the Friendship House, located at 2800 Darien Street. Professional barbers will be there giving free haircuts. For more information, you may contact K.Coco at 518-2991 or O. Adams at 773-9572.

Also on Sunday, August 12, Several area stylists and barbers will offer free haircuts from 1-7 p.m. Any salon owners or licensed conmetologists wanting to help should call Kabora Byrd at 573-0417 or 635-9800.
