Rock Solid Sports currently hiring lifeguards

Rock Solid Sports is currently hiring for Lifeguard, Pool Manager and Pool Assistant Manager positions for the 2013 swimming season. Positions will be filled at the Bill Cockrell, Querbes, Southern Hills, Airport Park and David Raines
swimming pools.

American Rose Center's 39th season opens

The Gardens of the American Rose Center opened for its 39th season on March 1. Hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Admission for the 2013 garden season remains by donation only, as our gift to the community in celebration of our 39 years in Shreveport.

Shreveport Farmers' Market to hold annual meeting

The annual Organizational Meeting of Shreveport Farmers’ Market will be held on Wednesday, March, 20 for vendors who wish to sell in the market for the summer season.

Interested parties may attend meetings at either 9 a.m. or 6 p.m. at 101 Crockett St, Suite B, in Festival Plaza. Policies, operation, procedures, and changes for 2013 will be discussed.

Master landscaper to speak in Master Gardener series

The Louisiana Master Gardeners Horticulture Series has invited landscape architect Marc Funderburk to speak from 10 a.m. to Noon on Wednesday, Feb. 20, Riverview Hall, 600 Clyde Fant Parkway. The lecture is free.
