Louisiana Association for the Blind (LAB) is hosting a camp for children with documented visual impairment July 29th through August 2nd. The camp will be held at LAB’s Claiborne Avenue campus at its Low Vision Rehabilitation Center.

The NAACP's national headquarters is hosting its 2nd annual HIV awareness "Day of Unity" throughout African American churches across the nation.
Praise Temple has joined ranks to educate and provide awareness to this growing epidemic. The "Day of Unity" will be held from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, July 14 and during the 11:15 a.m. worship service at the Praise Temple Full Gospel Baptist Cathedral, 4725 Greenwood Road in Shreveport.

SPAR begins its annual Summer Youth Midnight Basketball League from June 3 to July 31 for girls and boys ages 10-24.
More than 50 teams will participate this summer. The fundamental purpose of this league is to give youth and young adults an opportunity to learn and athletically compete in a supervised safe environment during the summer evenings.
